I haven’t been to church in FOREVER…
I really missed it, missed the message, the music. There is something to be said to starting your week with God.
We’ve also been looking for a church home, so actually going is weird.
Jayna and I went to a new Church this morning and I loved it. The congregation is full of young families with children everywhere. It felt really comfortable. It was packed, so I thought I would just get lost in the crowd, but as soon as service let out a pastor came right up to me and introduced himself, and knew I was new.
I really hope its a good fit. I need some church in my life.
My baby is getting so big. She is sheer joy and makes my heart soar.

We started out the night at our usual Halloween dining spot. Chipotle!! On Halloween if you dress as a burrito you get a free one!

Even Jaysen wore a tinfoil hat… amazing.

Jayna only ended up trick or treating 2 places. My grandma’s and my parent’s. Once we got to my parent’s she was having to much fun playing with Papa to leave so we ended up missing out on the neighborhood trick or treating. But she didn’t mind.

I’m about a month behind on posting pics so bear with me.
The Sunday before Halloween Jaysen’s mom and dad invited us to the zoo. Jayna loves spending time with”Granna and Papa Shadow”

Running through the tunnels at the tropics trail

Fishes!

Petting Rays and sharks

Even though it was the end of October it was really nice outside, which gave us a chance to check out the outdoor exhibits.
(And Jayna to play on the playground)

Jayna was exhausted………… Can you tell?

We visited my sister this past weekend and she brought us to the Sertoma Butterfly house.
I really thought Jayna would enjoy it, but I think she didn’t care for things flying towards her head. But she did enjoy spending time With Monica.

Is it a leaf or a Butterfly?

As above, I am some sort of butterfly magnet.

A variety of Butterflies

Wet Wings

A few randoms to cute to be left out

Let me preface this by saying I am afraid of horses. I had a bad horse accident 10 years ago, and won’t go near them…….
So of course that means I have a daughter who is obsessed.
I’ve tried so hard to keep her away. THis summer she got to go on a few pony rides, and she was on cloud nine. So the poor little cowgirl just wanted to ride.
She knows her aunt has horses. We were going to visit. Every day for a week she would wake up and ask, “Nanee ride CaCas horse?”
I gave in. I stuffed my mommy fear aside and let her go……..

In this pic Jayna is mad, She kept telling Monica to get off, she wanted to ride by herself.

You can’t tell, but I’m terrified

10 points if you spot the goat

Just a Note: If you think letting them ride will cure the obsession, you are so wrong. Non-stop since we got home Tuesday, according to Jayna she is going to live with CaCa (monica) and the horse can sleep in her bed.
Driving to South Dakota to visit my Siter, my cousin and I had to make a stop at a very large statue in Blue Earth, MN.
A 2008 tour of Giant Statues to come……….
In case you missed the Giant green man wearing leaves…. He’s that way

Green Giant

The green Giant welcomes you to Blue Earth, oddly I feel he should belong to Green Earth…

Jayna liked the “Big boots “

Some creepy cut-outs that are relatives of the green giant who managed to miss out on the giantisism gene, but got extra of the creepy…

Jayna really likes Papa’s dogs. This morning she woke up talking about them. We asked her what their names were:
Gucker
Oooodeee
Cow nose
A 2 year old translation of Tucker, Odie and Cosmo.
Love that kid.
